Fallen leaves
In transient entanglement
On thorn or wire
Or gently held by another
Until a single breath
Bears them away
Winter winds will come
To carry them down
Each adding its own note
To the sweet perfume
Of the earth
“Caught” is a collection of images of leaves as they were caught on the journey from tree to ground in the Autumn. I was struck by the way they often landed on a different tree or tangled in wire. Temporarily suspended until they continued their inevitable journey.
