Bristol Mirage

Bristol is a great and vibrant city. Many things come to mind when thinking of Bristol - the historic docks, Brunel's breathtaking suspension bridge over the Avon Gorge, the posh regency terraces of Clifton. But for me, when I think of Bristol I think of colour. The painted houses and ever changing street art make this a city like no other. The irreverent and indomitable spirit of Bristolians is painted large on the streets .... long may it continue.

Bluebell Woods

Deep in the greenwood,
Fairy bells enchant,
But if you hear their sylvan sound,
Your spirit flies away.
So much folklore surrounding bluebells - apparently they are rung to summon the fairies, but if a human hears them they can no longer stay in this mortal world.
We should not trample on them for then we may anger the fairies.
